Conversion Process

Repair vehicle. Get certified VIN inspection by certified VIN inspector. Stamp 'REBUILT FROM SALVAGE' on vehicle. Submit DR2415 checklist. Apply for rebuilt from salvage title.

Agency: Certified VIN inspector (Colorado State Patrol or authorized)

VIN inspection by certified inspector. Vehicle must be physically stamped with 'REBUILT FROM SALVAGE' with letters at least 1/4 inch height. Relatively simple process.
