Repair vehicle. Schedule salvage vehicle inspection online through MSP Salvage Scheduling System. Pass Maryland State Police inspection. Pass safety and emissions inspections at MVA.

Agency: Maryland State Police (MSP) + MVA

Two-stage: MSP salvage inspection (scheduled online) + MVA safety/emissions inspection. MD requires its own inspection even for vehicles with out-of-state rebuilt titles. Does not accept NY salvage certificates.

Accepts out-of-state salvage: Yes

Accepts non-repairable: No

Accepts most out-of-state salvage/rebuilt titles but does NOT accept NY salvage certificates. Out-of-state rebuilt brands still require MD salvage inspection.
